The Dispatch is a product of John Hersey High School's communication pathway. Students learn to write, film, edit, and produce various media content over a multitude of platforms, both in the building and out. John Hersey High School is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois with an average student enrollment of approximately 2,000 students.
Dispatch students produce daily, monthly, and live event content throughout the school year and beyond. Students are working towards producing content 365 days a year which includes partnering with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Dispatch students produce The Correspondent, our school newspaper, in a digital form. Students also produce various broadcast packages that are managed with our HTV (Hersey Television) channel on YouTube. Finally, Dispatch students also produce The Howl, our podcast show, which can found on iTunes.
The Dispatch is also proud to be one of the only high school's in the country that produces content alongside its deaf classmates so that the entire student body, including its deaf population, can watch and be up to date on everything Hersey.
